Many people in Africa suffer from chronic wounds; this number is even higher among the population living in the bush. These people have no access to specialized nursing and their wounds gets worse for lack of proper care.
MMI provides wound care during bush outreaches. At the end of the project, patients who need continued care come to our center in Sokode called La Maison Bethesda. Treatments are given by wound care assistants in Togo under the guidance of a Certified Wound Care Specialist. We use the financial donations we receive to cover the cost of wound care supplies, making it free to those who come to the clinic.
