About Us

Our History

Serving as missionaries in Costa Rica, Madeleine Allard and Murray Carpenter were overwhelmed by the lack of health care access for low income families. Murray and Madeleine soon saw short-term medical and dental teams as an opportunity to bring medical help and spiritual wellness with the message of Jesus Christ.

In 2002, Madeleine and Murray established MMI, a Christian ministry dedicated to enhance the physical and spiritual well being of people in the developing world. Since 2002, MMI has co-ordinated more than 70 projects throughout Latin America and Africa.

Our Mission

Our mission is to link North American groups and local churches overseas in the realization of a project that brings medical/dental care to communities having little or no access to health care services.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide a high standard of patient care to populations with poor access to health care resources and extend this ministry to many communities.

Our Goals

To motivate national volunteers from the host church overseas to minister to the patients living in their own community during and after the outreach.

Help the North American participants explore a new concept of missions where the host national church overseas assumes a leadership role in ministry and evangelism.

Empower the host church to use their own resources and personal strengths to accomplish their church's goals.
